The phone is simply the best way to follow up with a prospect.
It is more personable and you have a reason to make the call, but you have to let the person know why you called in the first 10 to 20 seconds.
You must be respectful of their time, be fun and positive with your conversation.
2 Text Message
With a text message your data can be easily consumed and you are avoiding direct communication if you uneasy with that. There is no time restriction and photos, links, or videos can be included, but be careful of information overload.
Be sure to include your name and phone number as well.
Email may be the most unreliable due to the spam filters.
Keep emails short and informative with name and phone number.
Never try to close with an email.
4 Hand Written Note
This is a very powerful, personable way to follow up, especially with samples attached.
Although it takes time to write, it is an opportunity to set your self apart from the competition.
5 Personal Visit
This is by far the most powerful way to follow up with a prospect.
This method of follow up takes time ‘OUT’ of the equation when closing the client.
Free digital books, free Paperback copies, and free product samples are great ways to break thru the awkwardness of a follow up. This again sets you apart from the competition.
7 Apology Contact (when sale was missed)
Tell prospect that you are sorry they were not interested and ask if there is any more information that they need or if there was one thing in particular that you need to address in the future for others.
8 Cell Phone Video/Selfie
This will make you stand out in the crowd, but keep it under 30 seconds and to the point. People will always watch a video.
9 Social Media
Always Like and Comment on a prospects posts. Private message them with Value.
10 Photo Images
Instagram is great for follow up with the use of your smart phone. People process images hundreds of times faster than words.
Content is King when filled with VALUE…
If your prospect is still in doubt just put together a great value filled Blog post and send them an email directing them to it.
3rd party validation is critical when a prospect needs a little push your way. This is always a great lead-in for a follow up contact.

Ask what you would have to do to make them join at this time…
