The old saying goes “Curiosity Killed the Cat”…
In today’s world we tend to get ourselves into
a state of mind that lacks any curiosity at all.
We get up every day and fall into the same old
routine (or rut), day after day and wonder
why nothing changes.
These tips are going to be directed towards
the Network Marketing Leaders of today.
Curiosity simply means asking questions…
Asking questions will take you beneath the
outer surface of the people that you work with
and show you who, or what, they are now or
could be with a little help; but without asking
them questions you would never know.
The questions that you answer are the measuring
tools that tell you just how far you have come in
life as well.
Curiosity has to be linked with Imagination so that
you will see more of the options needed to solve
the problems that inevitably show up daily.
Curiosity, Imagination, and Creativity when
mixed together will always provide you with the
solutions to life’s problems.
Instead of letting your team come to you with
the problems; have them come to you with at
least 3 solutions that would help to fix the
problem, and have 1 of those solutions
involving that team member personally.
Let your team be curios, creative, and imaginative…
Let me say though that you will have to be able
to absorb the risk of having these people share
their ideas on your team.
They will mostly bring only parts of the solution
to the table, so you will want to assemble a
Mastermind of team members to discuss the
matter and you will be amazed to see the results
when 4 or 5 people put their heads together
on 1 topic.
You also don’t want to set Rules when letting
your team be curios, creative, and imaginative.
They must feel free to become better.
To really gain higher ground in any business
you must be constantly exchanging ideas from
the bottom up.
The beginners in a company may have a fresher
idea on making some changes that someone in
a routine (or rut) may not see as necessary.
Take a ‘childlike’ approach and don’t be afraid of
failure; make friends with failure and grow from it.
Questions are like keys because they can unlock
doors to places that only the imagination can see.
The more questions that you ask, the more doors
that open .
Think of your team as elevator people because
they will take YOU higher in life as they rise to
higher levels themselves.
Your team will make you look better every day
when you are giving them more and more of the
Value you have to give, so don’t be selfish with
what you already have to offer.
I very much hope you have gained as much
Value from these tips as I have, because these tips
are from the one and only ‘John Maxwell’.
