In parts 1 & 2 of this series we talked about some of the different habits between the average person and the millionaire;
there are really 3 parts.
The first part was basically MINDSET…
The second part was “POVERTY BY ASSOCIATION”
The third part is “POVERTY BY CONSUMPTION”
Poverty by Consumption is what we are going to talk about today.
Basically our bank account is a direct reflection on these 5 habits:
#1 WHAT YOU WATCH
There is so much Media out there today that it is mind boggling.
Everywhere you look there is something or someone feeding you crap and negativity. It is so easy today to just sit back and follow the habit of turning on the TV instead of finding a Podcast of something that could teach you how to get out of your own way.
It is a proven fact that people today are becoming less intelligent because they don’t have to learn anything when they can just Google the answer to whatever they want to know. (this is another habit formed)
#2 WHAT YOU READ
When was the last time you read a book?
Most people say they don’t have time for reading; what they really mean is they haven’t made it a habit to take the time. They would rather complain about how bad off they are rather than read about how to fix their problem.
When you read a book you can always highlight parts of it that you want to remember for future reference.
#3 WHAT YOU LISTEN TO
Instead of following the habit of listening to that rock and roll or country music star on the radio you could be listening to a podcast on self- development that could get you out of your current situation.
Bottom line is that you have to want to make a change in your life before you ever will.
#4 YOUR DAILY HABITS
What you do every day will become a habit and you are the only one that has complete control over what you do each and every day.
You really have to follow the habits of people that you look up to, or want to be like.
It is just as easy to form a good habit, as it is to form a bad habit, the choice is yours and yours alone.
#5 HOW YOU MAKE YOUR MONEY
Do you make money from a leverage position or a non-leverage position?
If you have an hourly job but spend your off work time watching crap on TV, not reading self-development books, not listening to informative podcasts, or following loser friends around you will most likely never be any better off than you are today; it’s your choice.
There are lots of ways to get ahead even at a 9 to 5 job.
Just begin by giving more value while you are at work and make sure the right people see the value you are giving.
When you are off work you can become involved in an on-line business that will bring you profit 24/7.
Again, it is your choice to create a habit that generates wealth rather than an excuse.
